We've always been excited about eating locally, and we love to celebrate everything that makes eating in Ithaca and the Finger Lakes so wonderful throughout the year, but it's always easy to find everything we want from within local sources. But throughout the month of October 2008, people across the US will be trying to do that as much as possible and it's easy for anyone to be a part of it.

Check out
www.EatLocalChallenge.com for details about participating in their nationwide event. It's a great place to connect with other locavores from across the country. And if you're looking for some great background information on local eating, be sure to look for our next podcast on October 6th for an interview with Liz Karabanakis of the Cornell Cooperative Extension, who is working to bring local foods to families throughout Tompkins County and supporting the local food producers in the process.
